Funeral services for Mrs. Phoebe A. Purviance, who death occurred Friday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. MW Bruner, will be held from the Bruner home at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. The services will be in charge of Rev. BE Kirkpatrick, pastor of the First ME Church, and will be of a private nature. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Purviance, who was 90 had been a resident of Crawfordsville for half a century. Until she was injured in a fall Sunday she had retained her health and vitality to a remarkable degree and had not been in declining health. Mrs. Purviance was born at Monroe, Ohio 90 years ago. Her husband, the late Dr. Samuel Purviance one of Montgomery County's most prominent men for years died several years ago. Mrs. Purviance is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Bruner, a sister, Mrs. GW Paul of Indianapolis and a granddaughter, Mrs. James Frazer of Warsaw. A number of nieces and nephews survive. One son, Edgar D. Purviance died 12 years ago. Mrs. Purviance had been a member of the Methodist Church for years. - typed by kbz

Crawfordsville Sept 9 – Mrs. Phoebe A. Purviance, age 90, died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. MW Bruner in this city. Her death followed injuries suffered in a fall a few days ago. Mrs. Purviance was the widow of Dr. Purviance, a pioneer physician of Crawfordsville. Mrs. George W. Paul of Indianapolis is a sister. - kbz
